Master Classes and Clinics

I am available to teach master classes or string clinics for your school or organization.  I have conducted master classes at many conservatories, colleges and universities, and at music festivals and camps world-wide. I have also taught clinics at conferences for American String Teachers Association (ASTA), Music Teachers National Association (MTNA)  and for various All-State events.

Generally, a clinic is designed to be informative to a wide range of participants. It usually addresses issues pertaining to teaching or playing conceptually or philosophically. A master class usually involves several performances by students, each followed by "feed back" from the teacher. A master class is a good way to observe specific issues related to performing ranging from technique to interpretation and presentation. I am always open to tailoring these events to your specific needs.
